Information
Update on the Zoom integration: due to a forced SDK change on Zoom's end, the Zoom integration in Veertly Events is still temporarily unavailable. This is taking longer than the one to two weeks we originally expected, as we're still working through the remaining details with Zoom. We don't have a firm restoration date yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we have more concrete news. Thanks for your continued patience.
Improved
Whiteboard removed from calls — We've removed the whiteboard from the call screen. It tended to cause more confusion than it helped, so we've taken it out.
Clearer registration form messages — When you mark a field as required in the registration form, you'll now get a message that explains what to do, instead of a confusing error.
X (Twitter) link check — Improved the error message shown when an X (Twitter) link isn't entered correctly.
Rooms with embedded apps — Rooms that include an embedded application now handle the side panel more smoothly.
Tidier layout — Lined up the Zoom call option neatly with the other settings.
Minor security improvements — We've made a few behind-the-scenes improvements to keep the platform secure.
New:
Eye-Able Accessibility Widget
We have integrated the Eye-Able accessibility widget to improve accessibility support (Barrierefreiheit) for all participants. The widget can be found in the top right corner of the platform and can be toggled on and off at any time. It includes features such as font size adjustment, contrast mode, colour deficiency support, read aloud, night mode, and more.

Platform Translations — 7 Languages Supported
The platform is now available in 7 languages. Participants can select their preferred language via the Language option found in the top right corner under their profile menu.

Session Booking System
Organizers can now manage ticket bookings for their events and require participants to register for online or on-site attendance. The feature supports capacity limits, approval modes, scheduling linked to agenda items, and group booking rules (single choice, no time conflict, unlimited).
For a full overview of how the feature works, please refer to our Help Center article.
Currently only available in English. Translation support will be added in a future release.

Improved:
Auto-join Rooms — Rooms that are not livestreams or calls can now be configured to automatically join without requiring a double confirmation. This can be managed via the room settings.
Logout Rerouting — After logging out, users are now redirected to the login page.
Font Update Fix — Resolved a bug where font changes were not applying correctly across the platform.
Information:
Due to a forced SDK change on Zoom's end, the Zoom integration in Veertly Events will be temporarily unavailable starting July 1st for around 1 to 2 weeks.
We will keep you updated as soon as we hear more from Zoom. Thanks for your patience!

Release Notes 05.03.2026
New:
- - Message Reactions in Global Chat
We have enhanced interaction within Chats by introducing message reactions. Participants can now react to individual messages using emojis.

This allows attendees to engage quickly and express feedback without sending additional chat messages.
- - Highlight Hosts & Speakers in Global Chat
To increase clarity and visibility within the Global Chat, messages posted by event Hosts and Speakers can now be highlighted. Within the event settings, organizers will find a toggle to enable or disable this feature.

When enabled:
- Messages from Hosts and Speakers are visually differentiated from regular attendee messages
- This makes official communication easier to identify, especially in active chat discussions.
The toggle is disabled by default to preserve the current chat behavior unless explicitly activated.
- - HubSpot Integration
Subscription admins can now connect their Veertly subscriptions to HubSpot accounts and then create automation workflows in HubSpot
This is an optional feature. To enable it, please ask your sales representative or write a support ticket.
